The Iota Upsilon Chapter of Sigma Chi at Boston University was founded in 1990 and is one of the most prominent Fraternities on campus.  A relatively young chapter, Iota Upsilon is focused on scholarship, philanthropy and brotherhood.  With a growing presence on campus, Iota Upsilon is dedicated to the cultivation of upstanding young men.

We, the men of Sigma Chi of Boston University who believe in the values of scholarship, honesty, integrity, accountability, honor, respect, excellence, high ambition, brotherhood, service, justice, leadership, character, and courage, do hereby affirm and declare on our word as gentlemen that:

• We will strive for a quality GPA for all Brothers;
• We will foster and develop leadership within our Chapter;
• We will fulfill all financial obligations to our chapter, the Interfraternity Council, Boston University, and our headquarters;
• We will provide philanthropic service to both the Greek and local community;
• We will respect both fellow Greek and non-Greeks and other Fraternities;
• We will have no tolerance for hazing;
• We will provide a safe atmosphere and environment for ourselves and others;
• We will take responsibility for our actions;
• We will hold eachother accountable;
• We will enoble our lives by living the Ritual;
